also has it's own 10 metre heated indoor pool, sauna and Jacuzzi, a
games room with a full size snooker table, table tennis and darts;
TV in all rooms and a large selection of games for you to
enjoy.
Christmas 2011
Saturday 24th December 2011 (Christmas
Eve)
Arrive at your leisure during the afternoon and join us for
scones and tea by the roaring log fire in the Ballroom. A four
course meal will be served between 7 and 8.30pm and it would be
appreciated if you could reserve your table on arrival. After
dinner our resident entertainer Mr Jimmy Fingers will get your
festive stay going with games and musical entertainment.
Sunday 25th December 2011 (Christmas
Day)
Arise to Christmas morning and enjoy a traditional Lakeland
breakfast between 8 and 9.30am. Spend the rest of the morning at
leisure and then join us for a Sherry before lunch which will be
served at 1.00pm. We are expecting a visit from a rather tired
Scandinavian gentleman at some point during lunch. JJ our resident
Magician will fascinate you with his close up magic during your
seven course lunch. The afternoon is spent relaxing either
catching up with the soaps on telly or relaxing in one of our
lounges around the fire. At 7.00pm a dressed buffet will be served
in the Blencathra suite. If you've any energy left Jimmy Fingers
will entertain you until the wee small hours of Boxing Day.
Monday 26th December 2011 (Boxing Day)
Start the day with our hearty Lakeland breakfast and then spend
the morning and early afternoon either at leisure or exploring the
surrounding countryside. Most of the local shops will have
started their sales so the ladies may want to partake in some
retail therapy (the Lakeland Ltd Sale starts Boxing Day). Or
alternatively we have available complimentary tickets for the
Aquarium, Windermere Lake Cruises or the World of Beatrix Potter.
Afternoon tea will be served in the Ballroom from 4.00pm where
you'll be able to sit and get a warm around the log fire. A four
course dinner will be served between 7 and 8.30pm and again it
would be helpful if you could reserve your table in the morning
after breakfast. Then pass the rest of the evening either playing
snooker on our full sized snooker table, table tennis and darts or
just let Jimmy entertain you.
Tuesday 27th December 2011
Unfortunately after another of our fantastic breakfasts it is
time to bid you farewell and we hope to see you again.
The price for our Christmas package is £360 per person for the
three days to include all the above. The Hydro has its own indoor
heated swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi. We can offer attractive
packages for children but would prefer to quote individually for
them as our tariff is dependant on their ages but at the same time
we believe offers good value for money.
Twixmas 2011
Tuesday 27th December 2011
Arrive at leisure during the course of the afternoon and on
arrival afternoon tea will be served in the Ballroom in front of a
roaring log fire. When you arrive please ensure you reserve your
table for your four course dinner which will be served between 7
and 8.30pm. John Nettleton will present a slide show of the lakes
in the Ballroom. John was the leader of the team that set up
Brockhole the Park Authorities Visitor centre on the lake shore.
His talks are both informative and fascinating.
Wednesday 28th December 2011
Enjoy a traditional Lakeland breakfast to start your
day between 8 and 9.30 am. The day can then be spent at leisure in
the area exploring Bowness and Windermere where there are a number
of interesting attractions and shops including the flagship
Lakeland Store. A four course dinner will be served in the evening
between 7 and 8.30pm after which our resident Hotel Disco will be
playing in the Blencathra Room from 9.30pm until the early
hours.
Thursday 29th December 2011
Arise and enjoy a traditional Lakeland breakfast which is served
between 8 and 9.30 am. The day can then be spent at leisure in the
area. If you need any suggestions for walks, or excursions,
Reception have all the information you may need to plan your day. A
four course dinner will be served in the evening between 7 and
8.30pm after which our resident Magician 'JJ' will do a cabaret
show in the Blencathra Room at 9.00 pm.
Friday 30th December 2011
A hearty Lakeland breakfast which is served between 8 and
9.30 am will fortify you for your journey as unfortunately we have
to bid you farewell but hope that you may make a speedy return.
The above package is £190 per adult per 3 days. If you have

we believe we can make the children's tariff suit your individual
requirements.
Our New Year Package
For the first time in 10 years we have a very small limited
number of rooms available for our New Year Break and the programme
is as follows
Saturday 31st December 2011
Arrive during the day and join us for afternoon tea in the
Ballroom. We start our festivities at 7.30pm with our seven course
Gala dinner. During dinner you will be entertained by Jimmy, our
resident Scottish entertainer, and our resident disco. Just before
midnight Mike Ramsey our piper will arrive in full Highland dress
and pipe the New Year in with us and then Travis the DJ will play
until the small hours. Wine during dinner and sparkling wine at
midnight are included in the package. A sandwich supper will be
served at 1.00am
Sunday 1st January 2012
Breakfast is available until 10.00am and then you can spend the
rest of the day either relaxing or visiting the local sights or
shops. Afternoon tea wil be served from 4.00pm and Jimmy will be
running a bingo and quiz session after tea.
Dinner is served from 7.00pm followed by a cabaret of our
talented Magician JJ and Jimmy with music to suit all tastes to get
you up on the dancefloor working off some of those calories!

After our tradtional lakeland breakfasts its' regretabbly time
to say goodbye but we wish you a hasty return.
